Two kinds of Advertising for a Marketing Strategy

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

By Steven Boaze Advertising is the lifeblood of any business. If you do notlearn how to advertise your products and services bothefficiently and effectively, you won’t be in business long. While the Internet has lessened or eliminated many of thecosts normally associated with starting and running a smallbusiness, and it’s now easier than ever, you’ll neverrealize significant profits if you don’t grow your businessthrough effective marketing. There are really just two kinds of advertising - that whichyou pay for and that which you get for free. And bothshould have their place in your overall marketing strategy. The problem arises when one does not understand how or whento use each. Everywhere we look it seems that someone is claiming youcan get rich online by taking advantage of the freeadvertising the Internet offers. While it’s a true statement, the misleading part is thatit’s almost always followed by something like, “We’ll giveyou a list of over 984324874984 places to advertise forfree!” They normally go on to explain how anyone can getrich on the Internet because all of the advertising isfree, and if you just send them $29.95 … well you knowhow it goes. Unfortunately, as anyone who has tried posting zillions offree ads on the Internet will tell you it just doesn’t workthat way. What you really need to know about posting freeads online is that for the most part it’s a waste of time -unless you’re targeting other marketers - because anoverwhelming majority of people who visit free ad sites areother online marketers like you who are trying to promotetheir own business. Effective “free advertising” strategies do exist, but theyaren’t what the average online marketer thinks of whenhearing this often hyped-up phrase. Are you ready for the one concept that separates the menfrom the boys, so to speak, online? Here it is: Free advertising is the laziest way to promote your site! You don’t really think that Yahoo became the most popularweb site on the Internet, getting millions of visitors perday, by using free advertising strategies do you? Heck no.Among other things, they spend millions of dollars per yearon things like buying advertising on other big sites andadvertising on both radio and television. Now before you say you don’t have millions per year tospend on advertising, allow me to show you how you canapply these concepts to your business on a smaller scale. The good news is that if you use the right approach you canstart with a few dollars. It doesn’t really matter whatyou’re marketing, but let’s assume that you sell artwork atyour web site. How could you utilize paid advertisingprofitably? Now before I scare you off with the thought of having tospend lots and lots of money on advertising, there’ssomething that you need to realize. And it’s a basicconcept you should be able to immediately agree with: If you spend $50 on advertising and it generates more than$50 in net profits, that’s a good investment. Simple right? Well, through the use of proper testing and a”scientific” approach to advertising, there’s no reason youcan’t turn your original $50 ad into millions of dollars inprofits. It’s just a matter of developing a system thatcreates a profit, and then reinvesting your initial profitsback into your business in order to further expand youradvertising. Remember the artwork? Assume that through proper trackingof your website you’re able to determine that 1 out ofevery 100 visitors to your site buys artwork. Let’s alsoassume that on the sale of every artwork you make a $50profit. Do you see that any ad you buy which delivers morethan 100 visitors to your site per $50 spent is aprofitable investment? Promoting a site should be approached with this type of ascientific or mathematical attitude. Any advertising you dois either profitable or not, and you need to know which itis so you don’t waste time and money. Here’s a somewhat simplistic strategy that you could use toget started: Use a combination of free or low-cost strategies to promoteyour web site, generating initial traffic which will serveas a starting point. Through proper tracking of your site, determine the exact “value” of a visitor in terms ofdollars and sense. This is absolutely critical. Utilizepaid advertising that proves to be profitable according tostep 2, based on the value of a visitor and the number ofvisitors generated. Through ongoing testing, tracking, andtweaking, try to increase the value of a web site visitoras well as response to your advertising. Repeat steps 2-4as necessary - or forever. The power of this scientific ormathematical approach to web site promotion is that onceyou have completed the steps you will have an almostautomated advertising campaign that can literally send youall the traffic you need. Rather than spending hours andhours each day promoting your site, you simply buy moreadvertising. The bottom line is that there are only 24 hours in a dayand there’s only so much you can do during that time. Freeadvertising strategies can be effective, but normally, anything that’s “free” is going to “cost” you time. On the other hand, if you could spend $1,000 a day onadvertising to make $1,000 a day in profits — withoutspending hours doing it — why wouldn’t you just do that? It’s not hard at all. Consider Overture.com for example, where you can buy click-thrus for as little as 1-25 cents. That fits the formula quite nicely. Overture alone won’tsend you enough traffic to make you rich, but it’s a goodexample of effectively promoting your site without spendingmuch time doing it. There are lots of others. Give this 2-step scientific approach a try. If you find youjust can’t seem to make the formula work, there can only bea few reasons for it - either you’re not advertising in theright places, your web site isn’t doing its job, yourprofit margins are too low, or your product or serviceitself is the problem. Figure out which it is and you can’tfail. Steven Boaze, Chairman, is The Owner of Boaze.comCorporate Web Solutions Which houses Web Development services. Real Estate Marketing Online — Are You Capturing Leads Or Losing Visitors?

Monday, May 26th, 2008

By Brandon Cornett In April of 2005, I conducted a survey of more than 250 real estate marketing websites. These were not corporate websites — they were the personal marketing websites of individual agents. What shocked me was that the majority of these websites (nearly 65%) had no way to capture the email addresses of visitors. I’m assuming the owners of these sites expected visitors to contact them immediately upon visiting. But that’s too heavy a burden to put on a website. It’s rare that you can shorten the sales cycle to nothing more than a web visit and expect any results. On a commerce website, most first-time visitors will leave without purchasing anything. Likewise, on a real estate marketing website, most visitors will leave without contacting the agent who owns the site. If people leave your website without “dropping off” their contact information, there’s a strong chance you’ll never hear from them again. That’s the nature of the Internet, and it reinforces the importance of having a lead-capturing system on your website. What happens when people visit your site: Generally speaking, first-time visitors to your website will do one of three things: 1. They will respond immediately (with a phone call or email). 2. They will sign up for something and then leave the site. 3. They will leave the site without doing anything. Obviously, you want visitors to take the first or second action. But we know from statistical surveys that most visitors will take action #2 or #3. That makes action #2 (sign up and leave) the overlap between what you want visitors to do and what they’re most likely to do. So make sure you have something for people to sign up for on your website. This is called an “opt in” mechanism — visitors will opt in (or subscribe) to receive future communications from you. Listings help, but theyre not enough. Home listings will add value to your website. After all, listings are one of the top items visitors will look for on your site. But listings alone will not optimize the number of leads you capture. They’ll generate a phone call here or an email there, but not enough to keep the pipeline filled with prospects. Listings are a passive way to gain clients, because you’re waiting for them to contact you. But by capturing leads through your website, you can shift into active mode and contact prospects with information they want. As a result, your chances of turning them into clients will increase tenfold. Offer value to gain permission. To maximize the number of opt-ins, you must offer something of value — a free report, a booklet, a newsletter. You offer this item of value in exchange for the visitor’s contact information (and implied permission to use it). Permission makes all the difference. Emailing prospects without their permission is spam. On the contrary, emailing them after they’ve expressed interest is good manners (and good business). Want to increase the number of people who give you this permission? Simply increase the value of the offer. With website traffic being equal, a stronger offer will produce more leads. The two are directly proportional. Conclusion If you offer nothing on your website but free information, you will not get visitors and readers to “raise their hands.” Free information is great, but you have to hold something in reserve to elicit calls, emails or subscriptions. Offer something of value in exchange for permission. Sure, you can educate your visitors. And you should. But always keep in mind the ultimate goal of your personal marketing website — to generate leads and grow your business. Loan Refinancing - 5 Easy Tips

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Greg_Thomson]Greg Thomson The refinancing business can seem like a jungle where lenders compete against each other with your rates and payment plans as weapons. Should you decide to refinance your loan, there is a lot of money to be saved, mainly by choosing the right lender but also by avoiding hidden fees, pre-payment penalties and high rates. This article outlines 5 easy tips that you can follow when refinancing your loans. 1. Research rates at many different lenders!! By doing this you assure that when you apply for the refinancing loan, this is your best deal. You can apply for pre-approval but if the lender pulls your credit history it may effect your credit score. You can avoid this by not giving your social security number. 2. As mentioned earlier, your original lender may have a pre-payment or early payment penalty that you will want to avoid. The best thing is of course to look in to this before you sign upwith any lender. If your current loan has this kind of penalty, make sure you would still save money should you decide to refinance. 3. Pay close attention to closing costs at different lenders. If the closing cost is very high at one lender you will have to take that into consideration in your decision process. 4. Many companies present the information above as Annual Percentage Rate (APR) and this includes the interest rate, fees and closing costs. To compare two different lenders accurately ask for the APR instead of the interest rate. 5. Get your APR, interest rate, closing cost and possible pre-payment penalty in writing before you decide anything. This insures that there are no hidden fees and that you can be confident in your choice of a refinance plan. A quick summary; ask for APR when contacting lenders, do not give out your social security numberuntil you have decided which lender to apply to and get everything in writing before sending in your approval request. Still feel like prey in the jungle? 80% of all Americans looking for a loan refinance solutionjump straight into the hands of lenders and may unwillingly and/or unknowingly pay up to doublewhat they should. Incestuous Relationship Between Football and Marketing

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

By Arvind Kumar Thousands eyes were fixed. Hearts were beating hard against the chests. Emotions was high, expectations was weighting on warrior on football field. This was a article moment for David Bekham. He has to take a direct free kick. Human wall was erected in front of football a few yards away. Opponent and helping hands were scattered around in the D-area hustling and bustling. And whistle went off. Bekham took the kick. It went high in air, cutting it at a very peculiar angle, 46 eyes on the field and thousands off the field were fixed on the rotating wonder. Ball takes a swirling loop and rest is history. Some says it was the air, some says it was the ball who did the trick. But history has given a name to this loop, Bend it like Bekham . Not many loop are famous like this. Marketing strategists and marketing need to learn a lot from football, game. What was the price of Bekham skill. Priceless! Similarly, Marketing general deliver and perform when emotions and expectation are touching bottom. That defines the difference and worth of these super performers from mediocre. They keep their cool , eyes fixed on target regardless of tense situation around . They do unexpected which even their intense opponent do not expect it. Performers known when the iron is red hot. Football teaches marketer the superiority of personnel, A-team playing with 10 player against 11 player will always be one down similar, a sales force superior in number to the competitor will be for better. There would always be a fight between quality and quantity. But as marketing Guru AL Rise say that marketing general never draft their strategy based on quality of personal . That is a risky bet and Erratic performance can divest the best lay at plan. Strategy should get success regardless of success of tactics. Similarly match of football should be won regardless of what happens in the games at all cost. According to Al rise, marketer depends too much on customers expectation, customers feed back, market situation. This restrict their visions of future and make them less than bold marketer should concentrate more on competition to stay a head of the game. Let me show this. Take the example of Michael Dell it is best policy is to do what is not possible today. Competition is still catching up with Dells fanaticism of speed of supply chain and Dell next move is to play catching up game. Second example is Nokia Vs Motorola started a program to bring it quality up to 2 to 3 fault per million, a small unknown funnies company moved into the space, which Motorola has left behind to remove the Motorola from king position. Football coach known the importance of marking up the first kick will keep the opponent morale down. And thats one of most favored strategy of football coaches leave alone one or two cases. A super performer marketer know very wall, when to leave battle field for opponent to make him tire competition would jump in, throw their reserve and exhausted. And many times in the process get the black name in market. And then they jump in to finish off the game. Competition loose out all the reserves to thwart the attack.. Great Marketer give, their competition, pass to go a head when they see they will surely find the dead wall in front of them. They do it obviously. May be some see their Timidness in to this act. But in end they understand what they were up to. Similarly when a defender see the opponent striker is a head of him when ball is still in the mid field. He gives him a pass and whistle go on. It is an off side, my dear friend. Arvind Kumar is an Electrical Engineer from a premier Institute, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has a vast experiene in marketing and management. Want a Relationship that Works? Be More Selfish

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

By Alan Stafford When were young, were taught to play nice and share. Selfishness is a vice, and consideration a virtue. We carry those beliefs with us into adulthood where they work well in everyday life. But, the situation is different when youre dating. Dating is all about finding someone who meets your requirements for a mate. Its not about molding yourself to fit your partners requirements. So, the best way to have long term success in your relationship? Be more selfish when dating. Most men and women aren’t nearly selfish enough when they are dating. That may sound backward to you because you try to be on your best behavior during a date. You try to make a good impression. You try to be considerate and selfless because you want the other person to like you. While this selflessness makes you a great date, it doesnt get you what you want. It doesnt get you a life partner who meets your definition of a good mate. Years later, youre unhappy. You really didnt choose a mate; you were chosen. Its all about him You make a big mistake when you set aside your feelings and cater totally to the other person desires so that he or she will like you. Thats bad for two reasons. First, its not fair to your date. He never gets to know you: your tastes, your preferences, and your personality. So how could he know if the two of you are really compatible? Express yourself. Let him know your preferences and your quirks. Give him the chance to bail if you dont fit his ideal for a partner. Dont show him just your good side in order to have a relationship. Br open, and be real. If hes the man for you, hell accept you and will want to please you. If hes not the man for you, better to find out now instead of after the wedding when you have a big mortgage and small kids. Its all about youYou’re also being unfair to yourself. By suppressing your desires and preferences, you are letting your partner set the terms of the relationship. That doesnt work long term. In fact, a major cause of divorces is because one or both spouses settled for the other in order to have a relationship and get married. Dont settle. Be selfish. This is your relationship, too. You have the right to choose anyone and reject anyone for any reason. You dont owe your dates anything except courtesy and kindness. You will owe your spouse a lifetime of love and commitment. The more selfish you are during the dating process-the choosier you are when selecting a life partner-the easier it will be to love and to cherish. Selfish in dating, but selfless in love If youre dating the right person, he or she will love you just as you are. There are plenty of prospects who will meet your requirements and needs. Prospects who fit your ideal of a life partner. But, youll never find them if you settle for something less than you want. Be up front from the beginning. Express yourself freely and openly. Its not phony, its not pretentious: its you being you. You can still be charming and polite. But, be prepared for a lot of dates to walk away. The fact that you werent right for them means that they werent right for you. Right?Openness and honesty in dating will also carry forward into openness and honesty in marriage. Knowing that you are right for each other before the wedding is the secret to a lifetime of wedded bliss as a couple. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Alan Stafford, Relationship Results CoachI help Singles and Couples build relationships that workwww.relationshipsuccessexperts.com Click here to ask Alan a question about your biggest relationship issuehttp://relationshipsuccessexperts.com/askalan.htm Get our free newsletter for relationship tips and advicehttp://relationshipsuccessexperts.com/subscribe.html 2005 Alan Stafford/Relationship Success Experts ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Alan_Stafford http://EzineArticles.com/?Want-a-Relationship-that-Works?-Be-More-Selfish&id=111665 loanshop pay day loan cash advance places around belleveiwfl fast closing investor loan bad credit loans unsecured

Winter Weddings

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

By Tonia Jordan Weve all heard that June is the month for weddings. When we think of weddings, often we automatically imagine warm weather, maybe a sandy beach, or even just warm rays of sunshine filtering down through puffy white clouds. We think of colorful flowers and spring-like colors, but what of winter weddings? Do they offer the same amount of creativity? Winter weddings hold their own unique beauty that many often overlook. Imagine, if you will, a crackling fireplace draped with holly or fresh greens from a pine or spruce tree. Winters are cozy and romantic, the perfect setting for a wedding. Not only will you find more availability of a space to hold the wedding and reception, freer schedules of caterers and photographers, but there is a world of possibility for winter weddings. For example, a landscape of drifts of powdery white snow make a beautiful backdrop for photographs. Replace the limo ride with a horse-drawn (or perhaps reindeer-drawn) sleigh for a unique and romantic first ride for the bride and groom. Warm colors like plum, cocoa or even a dark crimson are perfect for winter weddings. White is also a popular classic color for winter weddings. Possibilities for the brides wedding dress can include layers, heavier fabrics, and elegant, traditional styles like the Victorian style dresses. Cloaks or shawls are another way to keep warm and include an elegant style to the wedding dress. Decorations can include winter flowers like poinsettias, amaryllis or even mistletoe. Christmas lights can add a festive, yet elegant touch to the winter wedding decoration theme. Ice sculptures can provide another beautiful and elegant decoration to the winter wedding. Wedding favors can be decorated with winter symbols such as snowmen and snowflakes. Christmas-themed cookies, like gingerbread men, make a wonderful wedding favor, as well. One symbol that is connected with winter is perfect for weddings the snowflake. In nature, there is hardly any other object that showcases beauty and elegance as well as a snowflake, and it makes the perfect symbol to display for the winter wedding, combining uniqueness with classiness. There are many winter resorts that would provide an ideal location for the winter wedding and reception, as well as a winter honeymoon. When we think of winter, we often think of snuggling close with a loved one and the timeless and classic beauty of nature. Winter is the perfect time for a wedding, and there are a limitless array of possibilities for the winter wedding.
